The study content is based on research and its importance on two major and important sources in research and investigation, that are violence and its frustrating effects on women psyche, which should be emphasized on the need to face this phenomenon, because violence is a destruction machine of women abilities and energies, whether wife, daughter, sister or even mother (giving), which may not have had the opportunity to present her ability and growth, And then disrupting the social and economic development requirements of society as an essential element if not the backbone of the society, thus deteriorating the social, scientific, cultural and even psychological situation of both family and society. It is considered a judgment on the backwardness of society because the progress and development of any society stemming from the safety and progress of women, and whenever women are freed from the psychological, social and cultural stressors, whenever society proceeded to progress and prosperity. So, this study is about the psychological and social characteristics of abused women in the Arab world without allocation, through the following: What is violence against women? Its types, the concept of abused women and finally the psychological and social characteristics of abused women.
