The study of the heritage of ancient North African civilization is constantly evolving. This effort includes new themes And refurbished approaches. My contribution to this effort comes down to this stroll. This study is about trying to explain the designations of ancient African media. The idea started from a simple observation where in the Byzantine period we find the names "Antelah" and Corep "which have a great phonetic convergence with Arabic names which attracted my attention and raised my question. I will try to assess the available sources and dismantle a number of old African names through this new approach.
