This research paper aims to highlight the mechanisms of the functioning of the Desert-Tribe memory, and the problems posed by the exploitation of this sources type on researchers in the Desert-Tribe field, considering that memory imposes itself as a source of historical knowledge in the societies that existed on the edge of life where the dearth of the written, moreover, the social sciences were never to be built in the air-conditioned offices, but the field its maker. The urgent need to set up the relationship of listening between the task of documentation and the task of developing problematic history must be recognized.
