Nursing leadership and management in the surgical complex of hospitals worldwide play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective healthcare services. The surgical complex represents a highly complex and high-pressure environment that requires coordinated efforts, rapid interaction, and collaboration among a multidisciplinary team, including professors, physicians, nurses, administrators, engineers, and technicians. Nursing leadership is central in organizing work, guiding the team, supervising nursing students, and ensuring that surgical procedures are carried out with the highest levels of safety and precision. Moreover, effective nursing leadership requires the ability to influence, motivate, and make quick decisions in emergency situations, directing nurses to achieve optimal outcomes for both patients and the healthcare institution. Additional responsibilities of the nurse leader in the surgical complex include advance planning, task allocation, quality monitoring, and ensuring adherence to established protocols. Nurse leaders also face challenges such as managing psychological pressure, responding promptly to emergencies, and fostering teamwork among staff members. This study aims to highlight the pivotal role of nurses in Morocco in nursing leadership and management within the surgical complex. It demonstrates, through a field study, the practical activities carried out in the surgical complex, based on the case of the Mohamed V Regional Hospital in Tangier, which comprises an emergency surgical unit, an elective surgical unit, and a central sterilization unit
