This research came in the context of studying the origins of interpretation with Abu Hayyan al-Andalusi in the surrounding sea, and what Abu Hayan took care of in his interpretation of the customs to which the Qur’an discourse is attached, so if the discourse in the verse is related to a habit of customs, and the interpretation requires its clarification to understand the verse, or requires the explanation of it, He uses it in that verse: Because linking the interpretation of the verse to what helps to understand it in terms of its attachment to a certain habit is considered a basis, whether it is related to the words of God or the Arabic tongue, or to the addressees, or to some customs that were present at the time of the Qur’an speech is a necessary matter, and that the understanding of the verse stopped on that, so it was for Abu Hayyan Great attention to this rule of interpretation, and the focus of this research was on explaining the types of habits that he invested in his interpretation, so they were classified in what Abu Hayan expressed by the habit of God in his speech, the habit of people, then the habit of the Arabs in their speech, then various customs according to who were added to them.
